Not to sound too negative, but this whole venom system while keeping serpent sting seems like just another overcomplicated bandaid gimmick to compensate for the cast time on aimed shot.

It also adds more keybinds... ugh...

just combine serpent sting and widown venom, make it undispellable, and be done with it.

After all the quick-fixes and hastily thought-out changes during BC and beyond, the hunter spellbook is starting to look like the living room on Sanford and Son. Seriously, we have a mix of outdated stuff, and stuff that has been changed and rearranged so many times that it is almost unrecognizeable...

Q u o t e:
This new venom system to me feels hastily designed and not fitting with the class.

We actually like the design a lot. We know it is frustrating for players to have to give up a damage ability in order to debuff a target. At the same time, it's often not balanced or in some cases desired by the player to have the debuff always up when using the damage ability. For this reason, we separated Curses from Banes for warlocks and Stings from Venoms for hunters.

A Sting is for damage. A Venom is for utility. You should be concerned with the former far more often.
